Mawio’mi is the Mi'kmaq word for a gathering or celebration featuring (commonly) music, dancing, arts & crafts venders and food. All Nations and races are welcome to enjoy Mawio’mi.
NSCC Truro Campus hosted the 12th Annual Mawio’mi Celebration on January 30, 2019.
The event celebrates Mi’kmaq culture with singing, drumming, dancing and arts & crafts displays and welcome guests from several First Nations across Nova Scotia, neighbouring schools, the local community and students from NSCC Truro Campus.
